Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how PaddockDiary collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our mobile app and related services. PaddockDiary is operated by Dane Rendell.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as your name and email address.
- Profile and onboarding data, such as your state and farm details.
- Operational records you create, such as spray logs, paddocks, products, and equipment.
- Subscription metadata — we do not store full payment card details.
- Support messages and contact submissions.
How We Use Your Information
- To deliver and operate app features.
- To manage your subscription and account.
- To support compliance record keeping and PDF export workflows.
- To provide service communications, including login verification emails.
- To maintain app security and reliability.
Sharing and Disclosure
We may share information with the following trusted third-party service providers who support our operations:
- Supabase — database infrastructure and authentication
- RevenueCat — subscription and billing management
- Resend — transactional email delivery (login verification)
Each of these providers is required to protect your data to the same standard described in this policy. We do not sell your data to third parties. We may disclose information where required by law or legal process.
Authentication
PaddockDiary uses passwordless authentication. You log in using a one-time code sent to your email address. We do not store passwords.
Subscriptions and Billing
Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not store full payment card details. Subscription pricing is displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to deliver our services. When you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted from our systems.
RevenueCat Data
Subscription data managed by RevenueCat is not automatically deleted when you delete your PaddockDiary account. To request deletion of your RevenueCat data, please contact us at hello@paddockdiary.com.au.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted data storage and secure authentication. No system is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Notifiable Data Breaches
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose data is involved, we will notify affected users and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as soon as practicable, in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, contact us at hello@paddockdiary.com.au. You may also delete your account at any time directly within the app.
Complaints
If you believe your privacy has been breached, please contact us first at hello@paddockdiary.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
